Mike Landry has more than 30 years’ experience in retail and wholesale sales. Since 1988, he began his career in coffee by operating a mobile coffee bar. He was the first to introduce gourmet coffee and espresso at county fairs in Connecticut. He then opened his own coffee bar in Essex, CT. Mike is a proven leader, operating Demitasse Specialty Coffee llc. as a wholesale business, by providing quality products with exceptional service to restaurants and cafes. As the founder and president, Mike is responsible for overall management, including: coffee bar construction modeling and supervision, equipment installation, service and training, marketing/PR, and training programs. Throughout his 30 plus years of restaurant industry experience, Mike has excelled at coffee training. DSC also offered espresso catering services for events such as weddings and corporate functions. In 2010, he opened Demitasse café in Sandy Hook, CT. - a European style café. This venture allowed Mike’s culmination of experience and skills in coffee to shine. In 2011 & 2012, Mike travelled to Italy to learn the culture of coffee in Europe. While there, he attended the world's largest hospitality show, and toured the Gruppo Cimbali factory in Milan. Mike has a B.B.S. degree in Business from SCSU. Mike is always honing his skills in coffee whether it be attending trade shows or cupping single origin coffees.
