Mike Landry has over 35 years of experience in retail and wholesale sales, specializing in coffee. He began his career in 1988 by operating a mobile coffee bar, becoming the first to introduce gourmet coffee and espresso at county fairs across Connecticut. After that, he opened his own coffee bar in Essex, CT. As a proven leader, Mike operates Demitasse Specialty Coffee LLC as a wholesale coffee business, providing quality products and exceptional service to restaurants and cafes. As the founder and president, he oversees overall management, which includes coffee bar construction modeling and supervision, equipment installation of espresso machines, service and training, marketing/PR, and training programs. With over 30 years in the restaurant industry, Mike has excelled in coffee training. DSC also offers coffee catering services for events such as weddings and corporate functions. In 2010, he opened Demitasse Café in Sandy Hook, CT, a European-style café that showcases his extensive experience and skills in coffee. In 2011 and 2012, Mike traveled to Italy to immerse himself in the culture of coffee in Europe. During his trip, he attended the world's largest hospitality show and toured the Gruppo Cimbali factory in Milan. Mike holds a B.B.A. in Business from Southern CT State University. He continuously hones his skills in coffee by attending trade shows and cupping single-origin coffees.
